Monica Ortega Leonardo

Mónica Ortega Leonardo was born in Gran Canaria,Spain.She studied a degree in Tourism Management with languages while in Spain and worked  in the hospitality industry.She left Spain in the year 2000 and moved to the UK where she studied a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Spanish Studies.Also she holds a Certificate in Further Education Teaching from City & Guilds,UK.She started her teaching career in England and she taught for Manchester City Council as a Spanish language  Adult Education Teacher.After she travelled and lived in Germany and Indonesia for a while.She has been living in Dubai since the year 2004 and has been working as a Middle and High school Spanish language teacher in several   international  schools ,also she worked for four years as an Adjunt  Instructor in Spanish Language at the Liberal Arts Department from the American University in Dubai.Mónica holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics in Teaching Spanish a s a Foreign Language with the University of Jaen in Spain. She loves travelling, reading and has a deep interest and fascination for languages and cultures.

Mónica Ortega Leonardo has her research thesis published in 2008 in the Spanish language magazine REDELE from the Spanish Ministry of Education. Currently she is studying a Bachelor in Spanish language and Literature with  the University of Burgos in Spain.
