The Dubai International Art Centre has been organizing an annual Water Colour Challenge for the past five years. The competition is based on the UK Channel 4 TV programme of the same name. Contestants have 4 hours to produce a finished Watercolour painting. There are up to 6 artists painting in each group, with an independent judge for each heat.
In the past the events have taken place at such venues as XVA Gallery, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, and the One&Only Royal Mirage.
