Culture Corner trips are organized to give DIAC members the opportunity to expand their knowledge of the arts through travel and cross-cultural experiences. Each trip has a different focus, on areas such as art history, contemporary arts, and specialized art-making processes. Participants may visit the studios of professional artists, take tours of museum exhibitions with curators, or travel abroad to visit historical sites and learn about traditional and contemporary arts of a particular region.
Past Trips
Past culture corner trips have included studio visits with porcelain painter, Lynn Al Qhatani, and sculptor Amira Hanna, a lecture/discussion with art historian Nelly Lama, and a tour of Jordan's historical sites, heritage and traditional and contemporary arts.
